Network Science Tools applied to Low Voltage Networks

Network Science (NetSci) tools are applied to determine the characteristics of the low-voltage (LV) networks. In order to do this a sample network (SN) is created. Using NetSci tools topology (depth and width) of the SN can be determined. Components of the SN are the nodes and edges. These represent the potential fault locations and the lengths of paths. The nodes and edges are dedicated according to the specifics of the tasks to be solved. By the determination of the LV's characteristics the lack of energy periods can be shortened (SAIFI, SAIDI), critical costumers' demands, extreme meteorological events and voltage problems caused by the decentralized energy production are answered with higher efficiency.
